This is a eulogy of my husband, Stephen Doe. Known to everyone as Steve, he was 31 when he died. He
took an overdose on the 10th of January and died on the 11th of january.
We were married on 1st May 1999 and now have two sons, Jake 5 and Lewis 3.
Steve had a twin brother, Mike and two sisters Joanna and Vicky. He leaves us, his parents and all
of his neices and nephews, and many friends grieving for the man we loved.
He had been struggling with depression, on and off for many years. This time he could not go on. If
only he knew how loved he was maybe he would still be here. Steve was a very kind, caring and
sensitive man and a good man. We all loved him and miss him. Our eldest son is finding it very hard
at the moment as am I. We would have been married 8 years on 1/5/07 and I would do anything to have
my husband and father of our children back. He was a great Dad.
I feel he was let down by the health sevices, he asked and asked for help but did not get the help
he needed. In turn they have not only let Steve down but everyone that loved him.

The moment that you died
my heart was torn in two,

I can't Believe
I can't belive its a year since you changed your families lives forever, they love you and miss you so much.
A year on
Well, Steve its been year now. It has to have been the hardest year of my life and there have been so many times I thought I could not go on, but I have. People say that they don't know how I do it, I do it because I have to, theres no choice in the matter. I have two lovely boys that you gave to me to look after, they both miss you and talk about you every day. I am grateful for the 10 years of fun and happiness we shared, you were a wonderful man. Happy Christmas Steve. Jo and the boys miss you so much, I feel for them. Jo has been so down and I wish I could help her, she lives so far from me and I do try to help her as best I can. Call in on her and the boys. xx
